Hello Neighbor 2 is a stealth horror thriller game from the Hello Neighbor series. It is developed and published by tinyBuild, and was first released on December 6, 2022.

The Story:

Hello Neighbor 2 invites you to a seemingly quiet town of Raven Brooks where everyone is hiding something. You play as an investigative journalist looking to uncover the darkest secrets of your neighbors and solve the case of Mr. Peterson, the infamous antagonist of Hello Neighbor.

In Hello Neighbor 2 you play as Quentin, a reporter investigating a series of missing persons cases in town — including that of Nicky Roth, the original protagonist of Hello Neighbor. Your journey will take you far beyond the basement and across the new open world of Raven Brooks.

Gameplay:

Sneak around, search for clues behind the mysteries, and play against complex opponents controlled by advanced neural network AIs that learn from you and all other players. The whole town is your playground.

Building upon the formula of Hello Neighbor 1, you play in a larger open world with multiple houses inhabited by suspicious characters. Sneak into suspicious characters' houses to gather evidence. The town of Raven Brooks is your playground, with AI-driven residents inhabiting its houses as you track down Mr. Peterson. 

Characters & AI:

With an expanded world comes an expanded roster of all-new characters to meet, surveil, and escape from — including The Baker, The Taxidermist, and The Mayor. Each new neighbor is designed with unique AI and behaviors, requiring players to stretch their skills to outsmart each one.

Every character in Hello Neighbor 2 is powered by a neural network AI that learns from the players, doing everything in their power to protect their gated community and its secrets.

Horror Style:

Hello Neighbor 2 approaches horror in a more delicate way, doing away with straight in-your-face classic horror aspects. Instead it works with subtler elements: creepy neighbors you cannot trust, mysterious things that go bump in the night, a rural town with a secret, and the feeling of unease when you may be just about to uncover a skeleton in somebody's closet.
